York floods 2015: assistance required

I know many people will want to help those affected by the floods in York. After the immediate crisis help will be needed for some time.

The city council has a page with information on how to help, including how to donate online: https://www.york.gov.uk/flood

The RSPCA home on Landing Lane in York (near Clifton Bridge) needs donations of food and bedding:
