Big wheel, part 2 – view from the walls

To give some idea of context, a photo taken from the city walls. The photos on this page can be enlarged, with a click, if you wish.

On the left is the Royal York Hotel, to the right, behind the trees, Westgate Apartments. Many (most?) of the residents lodged objections to the plans to put the wheel here, as they felt they would be rather overlooked.

Through the wheel, the spire of Clifton Methodist church, reminding us that in the past places of worship were the main points of interest on the horizon.
