		<description><![CDATA[&lt;p&gt;My Mum and Dad had the Nessgate newsagents and sold it to Mr Atherton. Started in 1966 and left in 1984. It&#8217;s been a newsagent for at least the last 60 years. Like the Athertons, they made many friends and Mum (age 92 now) passes the shop every week to collect her pension. Tony &amp; Julie had a hairdressing shop upstairs.&lt;/p&gt;

		<description><![CDATA[&lt;p&gt;sad to see Past Times go.When my wife and I holidayed in York in late 80&#8217;s early 90&#8217;s it was always among the first ports of call when we arrived in the city on a Saturday afternoon.  Once had an upstairs selling repro vintage posters.still have a lovely brass chestnut roaster bought here circa 1988.It was always destined for a period cottage and now lives in one. Who ever ran Past Times should be jailed for the incompetence which ran the shops in to the ground&lt;/p&gt;
