Prefer ‘wise’, ’seen a lot’, ‘mature’, etc. ;)

It won’t ever shrink back to a smaller event, but I imagine next year there’ll be more of an effort to make space for the bells …

Celebrating the arrival of a New Year in the shadow of such a magnificent and ancient building, a building that has witnessed so many New Year’s Eves with so many generations of York residents, was part of that ambiance, a tangible sense of ‘place’ and the passage of time.

While i didn’t go this year, i’m can’t imagine how the addition of a DJ set improves the experience. [but i am quite a grumpy middle age bloke these days :-)]
