I love Mr Roy’s shop. I have visited on many occasion for various items over the years. It has almost become a challenge to find anything he hasn’t got, or cannot get for you.
One thing he always seems to have, is a nice big smile. He always seems happy to see you.

The shop used to sell second hand records - mainly singles, I think - in the seventies. We just called it ‘Eroys’ because EROY was often stamped on the covers.

I remember about eight large avometers gathering dust on a shelf in the physics lab. I once taught in. They had originally cost about £300 pounds each. Did you know that Patrick Pool was once called Swinegate, and Swinegate was called Patrick Pool?

Interesting selection of old Avo’s (Avometers). I bet nobody knows what to do with one these days…
